Tokenized stocks helped drive a rebound in on-chain activity during the third quarter, according to an ARK Invest DeFi report summarized by BlockBeats. The figures below are reported estimates from that summary.
Tokenized stocks lift spot DEX activity
Tokenized-stock spot DEX volume was about $50 billion, roughly nine times the prior quarter, and its share of all spot DEX volume rose from about 1% to 9%. Total spot DEX volume increased about 13% quarter over quarter to $571 billion, the first quarterly rise in nearly a year.
Other on-chain indicators diverged
Robinhood Chain recorded about $65 billion in DEX volume and $51 million in network revenue in its first quarter, while ARK expected a gas-mechanism change to reduce revenue from that level. Stablecoin supply fell about 3% to $309 billion even as adjusted volume rose 16% to $781 billion and monthly active addresses grew 39% to 73 million. Perpetual DEX open interest rose 76% to $24 billion, while quarterly volume fell 16% to $1.4 trillion.
BlockBeats attributed these figures and the revenue outlook to ARK Invest; they are not independently verified here.
