SSV Labs has submitted DIP-59, a proposal that would extend network stewardship through June 30, 2027 while reducing its budget and scope, BlockBeats reported on Oct. 22.
Proposal shifts work toward maintenance
If approved, the plan would focus the second half of 2026 on the Boole network fork and support for Ethereum’s ePBS upgrade. SSV Labs would then enter a maintenance period in the first half of 2027, with no new products planned during that phase.
Funding requests remain conditional
DIP-59 requests 1.5 million USDC for 2026 and 2.7 million SSV tokens for the first half of 2027, including an options conversion mechanism. The proposal also seeks to waive some previously unpaid amounts and calls for a $900,000 asset security arrangement. Those are requested terms that depend on the proposal passing and subsequent execution; the flash does not establish that the funds have been approved or paid.
