Kimi has shown the K3.1 model in a 24-second retro-computer-style video. The Kimi Code terminal displayed “Model: Kimi K3.1” and showed the model writing Three.js code for a complex 3D scene, according to a report carried by BlockBeats.
Earlier traces pointed to the same model
Developers reportedly found a “kimi-k3-1” identifier on Moonshot’s API platform in late September. K3.1 also appeared in Kimi Code’s model-switch configuration on Oct. 21.
Release timing remains unconfirmed
The report said the new model could be released soon after the official video displayed its name, but the flash did not confirm a launch time.
