Seedance Overseas Revenue Reaches Half of Total, Report Says

ByteDance’s Seedance video-generation model now derives 50% of its revenue from overseas markets after overseas revenue grew nearly fivefold in six months, according to Beating AI News Flash and Intelligent Emergence, as cited by BlockBeats.

Copyright safeguards and customers

Seedance 2.0 received a Motion Picture Association cease-and-desist letter in February over generated Hollywood characters. ByteDance and the MPA signed a global intellectual-property protection memorandum on Aug. 17, and the MPA later acknowledged progress in copyright protection. Disney also reached a content partnership with TikTok for designated film and television materials.

By token consumption and revenue contribution, Tencent ranked among Seedance’s top three Chinese clients and Bilibili entered the top ten. Manufacturing, automotive, education and healthcare clients now account for more than one-quarter of the client base, the report said.
