Analysts See Bitcoin Rally Reviving Treasury Buying, but Easy Financing May Fade

Bitwise research head Ryan Rasmussen said a Bitcoin rally could revive corporate treasury demand, while easy financing may not return, according to BlockBeats.

Buying slowed

Strategy added 1,666 BTC net in the third quarter, down from 83,901 BTC in the second quarter. Other listed companies added 5,617 BTC, down from 45,725 BTC in the prior quarter. Rasmussen said corporate buying could reaccelerate as early as this year.

Funding discipline

Bitfinex derivatives head Jag Kooner said a higher Bitcoin price could restore valuation premiums for treasury firms, allowing share issuance to fund purchases without reducing Bitcoin exposure per share, subject to market conditions. He said investors are focusing on funding costs, balance-sheet discipline and Bitcoin per share, with capital potentially favoring larger, liquid and established operators.
