An Ethereum wallet that reportedly held 3,000 ETH for nine years was suspected of exiting after a final deposit to a trading platform, according to on-chain analyst Ai 姨, cited by BlockBeats.
Deposits do not confirm a sale
The wallet reportedly withdrew 3,000 ETH from Gemini nine years ago, valued at about $56,400 at the time, and began sending ETH to exchanges in batches in August 2025. The final reported deposit was 1,000 ETH at an average price of $2,874.17.
BlockBeats said the wallet’s reported cost was $18.82 per ETH and its return was 151.7×. If the final deposit were sold, the report estimated a profit of about $8.566 million. No sale, wallet address or transaction hash was provided, so the profit remains conditional.
