Dragonfly managing partner and early Polymarket investor Haseeb Qureshi rejected claims that Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan used company funds for private-aircraft flights and other personal expenses, calling them baseless smears in a post cited by BlockBeats.
Qureshi’s account of the spending
Qureshi said Coplan disclosed every expense and that the annualized amount was roughly equivalent to a software engineer’s salary. He said the flights cited in the claims did not involve personal travel.
Repayment and accounting
According to Qureshi, Coplan initiated the accounting and repayment process, repaid the relevant amounts in full and later took a normal salary. Qureshi described the matter as an accounting issue rather than an integrity issue. These statements are Qureshi’s account; the flash does not independently verify the disputed allegations.
