Aethir says it will begin daily ATH token burns from network fees in November, with the amount varying with actual computing demand, according to a BlockBeats report on the project’s tokenomics update.
Burn and fee changes
The project said part of its network fees will be used each day to burn ATH, with the tokens sent permanently to a public burn address. A floating network fee will replace the fixed platform fee, with the rate reading market conditions through TWAP. Aethir said weaker conditions would mean a lower fee and a higher burn share.
Other stated safeguards
Aethir said the Cloud Host emissions schedule will remain unchanged and fees will stay below the value of Host rewards. It also said a burn dashboard will launch with the first burn and that the mechanism has passed a CertiK audit. The flash gives no exact burn rate, daily amount or start date beyond November.
