Standard Chartered signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of crypto custodian Zodia Custody, subject to regulatory approval, BlockBeats reported on Oct. 21.
Custody and software businesses
Under the arrangement, Standard Chartered would integrate Zodia’s custody business. Zodia’s software business would move to a separate company under SC Ventures.
The flash did not provide a transaction value, closing date or the regulators involved. The acquisition remains proposed until the required approvals are obtained.
