Dormant Ethereum Wallet Moves 3,000 ETH to Kraken After 9.5 Years

An Ethereum wallet that had been inactive for about nine and a half years moved 3,000 ETH to Kraken, according to an EmberCN monitoring report cited by BlockBeats on Oct. 22.

Reported transfer followed a long dormancy

BlockBeats said the 3,000 ETH was withdrawn from Gemini in 2017 and had been dormant before the transfer. The report valued the holdings at about $56,000 when the ETH was withdrawn at roughly $19 per coin and about $7.23 million when sent to Kraken, implying an approximate 128-fold increase.

The flash did not provide a transaction hash, wallet address or exact transfer timestamp. The monitoring details and valuation therefore remain attributed to EmberCN and BlockBeats.
