Bitcoin’s price was about 5.9% above the average cost of coins held for less than six months, down from 8.7% a week earlier, according to an October 26 BlockBeats report citing CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr.
Estimated holder cost bases
The report put that cohort’s average cost at approximately $76,000, compared with $48,600 for coins held longer than six months, a ratio of roughly 1.56.
These are cohort averages. The report cautioned that some recent buyers may already face losses despite the group’s positive average cushion.
