Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis said an external actor accessed some customer contact data during a cybersecurity incident, while its investigation found no evidence that investigation content, credentials or session tokens were accessed.
Customer contact data was accessed
Chainalysis said an external actor used agentic techniques to gain unauthorized access to its systems and internal tools. The company said some non-sensitive data for platform users, including user IDs, full names, email addresses and organization role labels, was accessed. It is still determining which records were affected and said it will provide a detailed breakdown.
The company said it found no indication that investigation content such as graphs, notes or cases, transaction or query results, clear-text passwords, multifactor-authentication secrets or session tokens were accessed without authorization. Chainalysis said the incident is unrelated to the recent Binance crypto theft and that it has engaged outside cybersecurity experts while patching vulnerabilities.
