Next Technology Holding (NASDAQ: NXTT) said its board authorized possible sales or Bitcoin-collateralized financing involving about 5,833 BTC, BlockBeats reported. The authorization does not guarantee that a transaction will occur.
Optional treasury action
BlockBeats said NXTT would let CEO Weihong Liu determine the timing, price and size of any transaction. The company cited the Binance hack, exchange security vulnerabilities and the potential threat that quantum computing could pose to Bitcoin cryptography. It also said none of its BTC is stored on or held through Binance.
Earlier SEC disclosure
An earlier NXTT quarterly filing with the SEC disclosed approximately 5,833 BTC as of June 30, 2025 and said the company may periodically sell Bitcoin or raise capital using Bitcoin as collateral. That filing described an optional strategy and did not establish a target sale of the full holding.
The reported $449 million value is a market estimate at the time of the BlockBeats report; it is separate from the earlier filing’s carrying value. Sources: BlockBeats English flash and NXTT’s SEC filing, published October 31, 2026.
