Binance Says 90% of Affected Assets Have Been Replenished

Binance said the replenishment ratio for assets affected by the reported theft rose from about 80% to 90%, while a new proof-of-reserves snapshot was completed, BlockBeats reported, citing a Binance announcement.

Assets and reserves

The report said BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC had reached 100% reserve backing. Binance said the remaining shortfall involved other, lower-liquidity tokens that it was continuing to buy through market and over-the-counter channels.

Proof-of-reserves timetable

Binance said the snapshot was completed at 08:00 Beijing time on October 31. It expected zero-knowledge proof generation to take 40 to 50 hours and complete proofs to be available by November 3 UTC, when holders of the listed tokens could verify at least 1:1 reserve support.

Withdrawal plans

The exchange reiterated that it would bear the financial losses attributed to the incident. Withdrawal services were expected to resume on November 1, subject to a separate announcement.
