Solana Merges SIMD-0567 Proposal for Optimized p-ATA Program

The Solana Foundation merged SIMD-0567 into its main branch, proposing an optimized p-ATA replacement for the Associated Token Account program, according to an official GitHub page cited by BlockBeats.

Lower-overhead account program

The proposal describes a no-std design that avoids heap allocation, parses instructions and account data through zero-copy and reduces dependencies. Developer benchmarks cited in the proposal reported about 35% lower transaction execution time than the older program.

Migration is still pending

Providing a Rent Sysvar was reported to reduce Compute Unit consumption further, while adding about a 1% transaction-level time regression in the test. SIMD-0567’s merge does not mean the program has already changed on mainnet; deployment and the stated migration process remain ahead.

The benchmark figures are proposal-reported tests rather than an independent production measurement. Source: BlockBeats English report, published Nov. 2, 2026. Chinese source.
