Binance founder Changpeng Zhao said the exchange has disbursed 100% of the funds in its recovery effort, while about 5% still needs to be converted into smaller tokens, BlockBeats reported on Nov. 3.
Small-token conversion remains
BlockBeats said the update was a status statement from Zhao. It also relayed an earlier figure that Binance had covered about 95% of approximately $3.3 billion in stolen losses and restored withdrawals for its 10 largest assets.
The report described the remaining portion as lower-liquidity tokens that require additional purchases to replenish. The percentages, loss figure and recovery status are attributed to CZ and the prior BlockBeats report; this article does not independently verify them.
