Justin Sun has asked a U.S. federal court to require Trump family-linked crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLFI) and its lawyers to pay $263,821.20 in requested sanctions over alleged disclosure problems in litigation tied to his $45 million investment, BlockBeats reported.
Disclosure dispute
Sun and two co-plaintiffs allege that WLFI initially listed only Florida as its domicile, then amended its filing nearly three months later to list 22 individuals and entities, including UAE-linked parties. WLFI subsequently argued that the federal court lacked jurisdiction because of UAE ties. These are allegations in a pending dispute, not findings that sanctions were awarded.
Next procedural steps
Sun said he plans to refile the lawsuit in California state court after the sanctions motion is resolved. A related hearing is scheduled for Dec. 10. The parties have also filed separate claims over the freezing of Sun-linked tokens, according to the report.
