OpenRouter processed about 194 trillion tokens in the week of Oct. 26, pushing its annualized throughput above 10 quadrillion for the first time, according to Beating AI and BlockBeats.
Agent usage drives activity
Processing volume over the latest nine weeks exceeded the platform’s total from the previous roughly three years and three months. OpenRouter data cited by the report showed agent token consumption had reached about seven times human interaction by the last week of September.
Stripe acquisition context
Stripe announced in August that it would acquire OpenRouter, with the stated aim of integrating cross-model routing, token billing and cost optimization. The throughput and agent-usage figures are platform data relayed by BlockBeats; this brief does not independently audit them.
