Kalshi plans to launch exchange-traded futures tracking U.S. consumer prices and core inflation in December, according to a Bloomberg report cited by BlockBeats on Oct. 23. The plans were attributed to people familiar with the matter.
The company is pitching the inflation-linked market to major banks and hedge funds globally, the report said.
Former Barclays trader to design contracts
Kalshi has hired former Barclays trader Michael Ashton to design the contracts and attract large institutional investors. The proposed futures would track the Consumer Price Index and core inflation measures, which exclude food and energy prices.
