DeepSeek has completed a reported second financing round of 100 billion yuan, with Tencent and CATL among the largest contributors, Beating AI reported while citing Bloomberg. BlockBeats carried the report on Oct. 22.
Reported terms
The round was initially planned at 50 billion yuan and the target was raised twice, according to the report. DeepSeek’s pre-money valuation was reported at about 500 billion yuan despite the larger fundraising target. Tencent and CATL were each reported to have contributed about 10 billion yuan, with several new investors also joining.
Funding and IPO details remain reported
The report said DeepSeek completed a first round of roughly 51 billion yuan at the end of June and that founder Liang Wenfeng contributed about 20 billion yuan. It also said the company was preparing for a potential STAR Market listing. BlockBeats did not link to a primary DeepSeek filing or a direct Bloomberg article, so the financing, valuation and IPO details remain attributed media reports rather than independently confirmed terms.
