Investors moved toward bonds as concerns about returns on artificial intelligence spending weighed on U.S. technology stocks, BlockBeats reported on October 24.
Bond funds draw inflows
The report put bond exchange-traded fund inflows for the month at about $58 billion, representing 38% of total ETF inflows. It said the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield closed Thursday at 4.97%, after reaching 5.14% earlier in the week.
Equity and credit pressures
A basket of AI-related shares fell 4.9% over the week, while Meta dropped more than 9%, according to the report. It also cited CCC-rated bond yields at 15.85%, their highest level since 2020, as another sign of financing pressure.
