SpaceX $40 billion AI financing faces pricing pressure, report says

AI-sector volatility is complicating pricing for a proposed $40 billion SpaceX debt financing to buy Nvidia chips, according to Bloomberg reporting cited in an October 24 BlockBeats flash.

Proposed structure remains under negotiation

The plan would use a special-purpose vehicle to purchase chips for AI expansion, with the aim of keeping the related liabilities off the SpaceX balance sheet. Goldman Sachs-led banks are negotiating with Apollo-led investors, the report said.

Investors were reassessing pricing as AI-sector borrowing costs rose, and terms remained under discussion. The report also said an earlier xAI sale-and-leaseback arrangement had ultimately resulted in about $13 billion being recognized as SpaceX debt.
