Meta shares fell more than 6% at the Oct. 22 open, erasing a reported $100 billion in market value, according to BIT (bit.com) market data cited by BlockBeats.
Future commitments rose to a reported $825 billion
BlockBeats said Meta disclosed about $825 billion of future spending commitments at the end of September, up from roughly $700 billion in July. The reported total included $355.7 billion of data-center leases and $454.5 billion of cloud-computing and other contracts.
Meta’s five-year credit default swap price also rose to about 119.3 basis points, described as a record since listing, while its bonds weakened against U.S. Treasuries. Oracle, Microsoft and Broadcom CDS prices also rose in the same report. The market figures were attributed to BIT, and the flash did not provide a separate timestamp or underlying market-data records.
