Apple said it had noticed a small number of iPhone Duo units with inner-screen failures and advised affected users to contact AppleCare for a replacement, BlockBeats reported.

The report said users had posted images of damage near the hinge area after the October 23 launch. Those reports do not establish a confirmed design defect or a wider failure rate.
BIT (Bit.com) data cited by BlockBeats showed Apple shares down 1.02% in the snapshot, with a market capitalization of about $5.02 trillion.
