BlockBeats attributed the latest storage and semiconductor selloff to concerns over AI data-center regulation, financing and valuations rather than a clear deterioration in demand.
Market move
As U.S. stocks rebounded, the report said the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index extended its decline to 5%. Marvell fell more than 9%, Micron more than 6%, Intel more than 5%, and Nvidia and Broadcom more than 2%. Seagate, Western Digital, SanDisk and SK Hynix ADR were also lower.
Analysis of the pressure
BlockBeats said investors were concerned that tighter regulation, approval restrictions and local opposition could slow AI data-center construction. Its analysis said the decline reflected questions about AI capital-spending sustainability, financing pressure, valuations and post-election regulatory risk, while demand remained strong.
